Erebuni Necklace

"Erebuni" is the Ancient name for todays Yerevan, capital of Armenia, almost a 3,000 years old city. This is the birth place of Harry Stambolian. The main symbol on this piece are the guards of the city of Erebuni. The next symbols are Pomegranates and Grapes. They were held sacred by many of the world's major religions. Symbolizing fertility, abundance and marriage. Pomegranate seeds are said to number 613—one for each of the Bible's 613 commandments. Grapes are considered symbols of festivities and immortality, also for blood and sacrifice. The bull symbolizes the working class. The peacock is the symbol of the palace. This necklace illustrates the Kingdom of Peace, Love & Happiness.
